BREITBART Scooter Libby was sentenced to two and a half years in prison today for obstructing the investigation into that nasty leak that outed Valerie Plume as a CIA operative. That only gets a kinda yay from me, because it most likely means the investigation will be considered closed and Bush Baby and his BFF Cheney will slide right by. AGAIN. BOOOOOOOOOOO.Prosecutor Fitzgerald patted himself on the back and smiled big for the cameras, saying “We need to make the statement that the truth matters ever so much…” I waited long and hard for the “kinda”, but it never came.

Republicans, shockingly, are calling bullshit. After all, no one was convicted of leaking Plame’s name in the first place, so how is it fair that Scooter’s in trouble for lying about it? Boohoo wah. Former Republican senator Don Nickles, who’s in charge of Libby’s defense fund, said “If jail time is issued, I would hope the President would issue a pardon.” Ha. You might remember Nickles. He was one of the main advocates for Clinton’s impeachment back in the BJ days. In 1998, he righteously stated “This case is not about sex. This case is about perjury.”

Well, this perjury case might lead to sex. Long, hard, gay jail sex. Good luck, Scooter. Don’t forget to cover your man cooter.
